Lisa Bargsley, CPA

Lisa

In addition to her portfolio of business and individual clients, Lisa has a passion for exploring the dynamics involved in maintaining the sometimes-delicate balance between business and personal life in closely held family businesses.

Her expertise includes more than developing tax strategies and compliance issues for these special clients. She works with the owners to build a solid foundation for intergenerational ownership issues, practical growth and exit strategies. Lisa creates systems for the routine collection of financial data and processes for clear channels of communication among family members. She believes this is the foundation for success in any family business.

Facilitating meetings is another area where Lisa demonstrates her expertise in promoting communication. She promotes the use of decision making models and thinking skills to generate ideas in a collaborative and encouraging environment.

Lisa was recognized as the 1996 Distinguished Alumna of the Year at Thomas College where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration. She also holds an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and has been licensed as a CPA in Texas since 1994.

Lisa participates in several professional and community organizations which include:

  • American Institute of CPAs, member
  • Northwest Austin Business Connections, past president
  • Zonta International, past district chairperson
  • Zonta Club of Austin, past president
  • Thomas Award and Gold Key Award, Thomas College

Lisa is originally from the Northeast and she enjoys spending time at her cottage on Cape Cod several times a year.
