Debbie Steinbach, CPA
For Debbie, the most rewarding aspect of her work as a CPA is helping people find peace of mind regarding their financial matters. By listening carefully to her clients' concerns, Debbie seeks to determine the underlying issues and to take a problem-solving approach to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Whether the issue is business management, personal finances or tax compliance, she will work with the client to develop a systematic approach to defining the problem, then planning and implementing a solution. Of particular interest to Debbie is working with adult children of aging parents as they face the complex issues that arise. Debbie's personal experience has led her to seek to help others as they consider the need for assistance for parents or other disabled family members. Debbie's interest in these issues led her to complete the program for recognition as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning through the National Institute for Excellence in Professional Education, LLC. The program consists of a series of eight courses ranging from basic to advanced concepts. Designation candidates must meet prerequisites of education and experience and must meet high ethical standards. In order to maintain the designation, Debbie will be focusing her continuing education efforts in the area of Estate Planning and Trust Administration. Debbie works primarily from her home in Yoakum, Texas and travels to Austin regularly for client meetings and other events. Outside the office, Debbie is an active laywoman in the United Methodist Church, serving primarily in the areas of church finance and music. She regularly leads training events for local church leaders on accounting and internal control issues in the church. Debbie is married to Phillip Steinbach, a United Methodist pastor. They have one adult son.
